Guidelines
Our community calendar is a space to inform and uplift our diverse city. To maintain a respectful and inclusive environment, we reserve the right to review and curate submissions based on the following principles:
- We welcome events that foster learning, creativity, civic engagement, and community connection.
- We do not accept submissions that promote hate, violence, discrimination, or misinformation.
- Political events are allowed if they are non-partisan (e.g. candidate forums, voter education). Events explicitly endorsing or opposing specific candidates or parties may not be approved.
- Marches and protests may be listed if they align with community values of peace, dignity, and non-discrimination. We may include a contextual note if needed.
- We reserve the right to decline events that could pose a risk to public safety or contradict the mission of promoting a welcoming community space.
If you're unsure whether your event qualifies, please reach out. We’re here to support open dialogue and inclusive participation. Contact us at umamalden@gmail.com.
