Planning Session for Mass. Memories Road Show
7:00 PM
Malden Public Library
Description:
Are you involved with a Malden-based community organization? Come learn about our Mass. Memories Road Show event (which will be held on May 2, 2020) and how your group members, constituents or target audience can be involved. We need lots of community participation to make this history-making community event a success!

The Mass. Memories Road Show is an event-based public history project that digitizes family photos and memories shared by people from Massachusetts. The program is run by archivists and public historians from the Joseph P. Healey Library at UMass Boston.

Malden Reads will be hosting an event in Malden on May 2 at the Malden Senior Community Center. On the day of the event, community members are invited to bring their family photos to be scanned by UMass Boston staff for this digital archive. You can also share your story on video & have a keepsake photo taken, and learn how to take care of your own family photos.

Please come to this outreach / planning session on Tuesday, February 4, from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the Malden Public Library to learn more about this upcoming event and how YOU and the group you represent can help make it successful. Please RSVP in advance by emailing maldenreads@gmail.com and specify which group you are representing. Individual participants are also welcome to attend!
